Flashcards, yes I know you’re thinking, that’s a bit old school. However, they are a great way of revising and checking knowledge of a topic. Some of the best ones online are Quizlet and Studystack. 
These sites allow access thousands of flashcards relating to different school subjects, not just geography. More importantly, they allow you to create your own flashcards and then share them.
A Quizlet app can even be downloaded to an ipod or iphone so that students can revise on the go. The only downside is that there are thousands of flashcards and so finding relevant cards can be a challenge, particularly in relation to human and economic geography topics. I am planning on creating a series for leaving cert geography … when I find the time!
