Audio notes

Recording notes as audio can be a great means of revising. Students can record themselves reading notes and then save them online or load them onto their ipod or MP3 player of choice.audioboo Many students revise better by listening than reading. Most modern laptops and tablets have a built in microphone so there is no extra expense for students in recording.

An excellent site for recording is Audioboo. It allows you to record your own voice and then save it online. This is perfect if you wish to record notes and then listen to them later.  You even download the app so that you can record and listen on the move.

Other good alternatives are:
Audacity: A free open source recording programme that can be downloaded onto any computer. Recorded audio can be exported as an MP3 and then saved onto a portable music player or phone.audioboo2

Soundcloud: A good alternative to Audioboo that can also be downloaded and installed on a phone as an app. The only downside to Soundcloud is that is also a popular music site and so it might provide a bit of distraction to study.
